This Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) Chicken Marsala recipe is legal if the alcohols are dry.


  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, filleted (into 4 pieces total)
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 8 oz of mushrooms, washed, sliced
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup dry Marsala wine
  • 1/4 cup dry sherry


Yield: 2 servings
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Total time: 35 minutes
  • Combine almond flour, salt, pepper, and oregano in a large bowl. Coat chicken breast fillets in mixture.
  • Fry chicken breast fillets in butter for 4-5 minutes each side (flip once). Remove from pan and set aside on a separate plate.
  • Saute mushrooms and green onions in remaining butter (add more if necessary) for 3 minutes. Add sherry and marsala wine for another 3 minutes. Return chicken to pan for another minute.
  • Serve and enjoy!
